Forecast: Uncertain ❄️
Forecasters predict the weather. Birds reveal it.
This morning, a bird landed on a bare branch, quiet against the cold. It’s just a bird—but I watched it for a few moments. Studied it even. I was as surprised by its appearance as I was by the unexpected dusting of fresh snow before dawn. This bird doesn’t show up often.
A fleeting moment like this reminds me there’s always something worth noticing, even on the coldest days. The snow on the ground was an unexpected surprise. So was the bird.
Lately, I am thinking about forgetting to check the weather altogether. It seems a lot more fun to be surprised…
This is a special reflection from my yard—no podcast today, just a little winter surprise.
